Adjunct Professor at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", Founder and Chair of the Scientific Committee of C.R.E.A. Sanità (Center for Applied Economic Research in Health), former full Professor at the San Raffaele University of Rome.

Former member of Scientific Committees in support of the Ministry of Health (Directorate of Planning, National Commission for Medical Devices, National Commission for Verification and Control of Health Care), AgeNaS, the Lazio Region (Technical Scientific Committee), consultant to the bicameral "Anti-Mafia" parliamentary commission, auditor of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) for Research Projects Assessment, member of Internal Evaluation Bodies (OIVs) of various hospitals, of Federsanità-ANCI (Forum of General Directors and Local Authorities), of the Italian Barometers Diabetes Observatory Foundation, of the scientific committee of the Metasalute Health Fund.

Research interests: Health Economics and Policies , Health Projects Assessment, Health Care Management, Welfare system. I participated in and coordinated numerous research projects for public bodies and international organizations as the Ministry of Health, AgeNaS, CNR, MIUR, EU-EEC, Min. Funz. Publications: Editor of the annula Health Report of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and author of numerous scientific publications on topics of health policies, health economics and health care management, pharmacoeconomics and HTA (details on the Publications page).
